Little India is the Indian neighborhood. There were many gold shops, which sold gold accessories such as necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Gold shops are also easy to find in Thailand. People in Thailand also like to wear gold, but the design of gold jewelry in Little India was more fancy. We went to Sri Veeramahakaliamman Temple. An Indian guy told us to go inside. We did not go because we did not know what to do in there. I guess we could go there to pay respects, but I did not know how to do it like an Indian.
Then we walked around to find the colorful building in my guidebook. It was the House of Tan Teng Niah. I was impressed by this color on the building (interesting color).
For dinner, we ate Indian food in this area. I was my first time trying Indian food. I had never wanted to eat it because I did not like the smell of its spices. Anyway, I tried. We had dinner at The Banana Leaf Apolo. We got fish head spicy soup and rice on banana leaf. It did not taste bad but it was not my favorite. The soup was sour. It would have been better if it was a bit salty. And rice was too dry for me. The next day was rough for me because I had a bad diarrhea. Ben was fine. It was only new for my stomach.
